My name is Elizabeth Boeck but my friends and clients call me Beth. My Journey to become a licensed therapist started many years before I went back to school when I worked on crisis teams for the local chapter of the Red Cross and later as a facilitator for youth at Leadership Development Camps. I continued that journey working as a Coordinator of Volunteers for my parish and discovered that when you work at a church you find yourself working with people in all walks of life and who are sometimes going through a difficult period and they have reached out to the church for help. As much as I found the work there satisfying, I felt that I would benefit from more education and returned to college to complete Masters degree.
What I can offer you as a counselor, besides my intense training both at the University of Wisconsin and my varied field experiences, is my own life experiences. Life experiences, even those that are more traumatic and chaotic offer us a gift. That is the gift of empathy and understanding when you encounter others who are walking a difficult path in their life.
I would be honored if you would allow me to walk that path with you now or at some point in the future. Almost anyone can benefit from time with a counselor, but it takes courage to take that first step and ask for help. I promise if you take that first step to contacting me, that we'll walk the rest of those steps toward healing together.
